Harris's is one of the top 3 steak restaurants in SF. Being a meat eater, I don't know if I would put it in the top 3, but in the top 5 wouldn't be a bad spot. It is on the same street as House of Prime rib and Ruth Chris so it has some competition. It is a very classy spot and definitely a high class steak house. I had the rib eye which was perfectly cooked but the sides were about average for a steakhouse. I was a little annoyed that we sat near the kitchen which made it a little loud but we had a large party. Be careful about ordering a soda, they do it by the glass so my friend had the unfortunate realization that his coke cost 12 dollars. They didn't tell him it was going to be extra per glass, but I guess when you go to an expensive restaurant you get less instead of more.

The bone in filet. That's what it's all about. They have an extensive menu, sure, just about anything you can ever ask for, but just go and try it, you'll be hooked like I am.

Best steak ever - my favorite is the ribeye and I usually order it when I go out to have a steak. Wonderful atmosphere and service, formal but not "stuffy". Parking is not the easiest but for a quiet, romantic place for dinner, this place rates high.
